Work

We designed this cover for The Allied Occupation of Japan, a new edition of a book previously released by The Continuum Publishing Company under the title Inside GHQ. Coincidentally, and unknown to the editors at Continuum when we were commissioned for this re-design, this book had a special meaning to me — my grandfather was resposible for unionizing Japan after the war and is mentioned in the book.

Two more WWII cover designs: Rommel’s Desert Commanders for Praeger Publishers, and Blood and Iron for Potomac Books, each using historic photographs submitted by the authors.

We designed these three titles — The Great Medieval Heretics, Cluny, and The Popes of Avignon — for BlueBridge, a boutique publisher of books on spirituality, cultural issues, and history.

A Low Dishonest Decade, which describes the history of treaties made and broken in Europe between the two wars, was designed for The Continuum Publishing Company using a historical photo from the Getty collection. Shards of Memory was designed for Praeger Publishers, and narrates stories of holocaust survival.

Three histories of Colonial America: Choosing Sides on the Frontier in the American Revolution and Ghost Empire: How the French Almost Conquered North America published by Praeger Publishers, and The Faith of the Founding Fathers, published by Oxford University Press.

We designed the cover and interior of The Voice of the Irish for Paulist Press’s Hidden Spring imprint. Founding Fighters was designed for Praeger Publishers.
